Get the Look: Ashley Hall's Halloween Glam

Learn how to get beauty influencer, Ashley Hall's, three makeup looks for Halloween using just her Revlon favorites!

When is Halloween ever one-night-only? Leave it to beauty enthusiast and influencer, Ashley Hall (@curlsfothegirls), to give you these three glam, DIY looks for every costume party on your calendar. Scroll to see how you can pull these looks using Ashley’s go-to Revlon products.

  1. Foresee a vision of purples. Play with purple shades to create a smoky eye using ColorStay™ 16-Hour Eye Shadow in Seductive. Begin by applying the second darkest, true-purple shade in your crease, blending out any harsh lines. Then, buff the darkest, deep-plum shade in your crease, concentrating the color just in the hollows of your eyes. Next, apply the lightest shade all over the lid. Add some extra dimension by taking the second lightest, true-violet shade and applying it to the outer third of your eye. Smoke your look out by going back to the deep-plum shade and applying it to your outer corner in the shape of a V, going back up into your crease and inward along your upper lash line. Complete your smoky eye by dragging that same shade along your lower lash line.

  2. Draw the line. Apply ColorStay™ Sharp Line Liquid Eye Pen to your top lash line, gradually thickening the line toward the outer corner and extending it outward at an angle to create a wing. Don’t hold back, go as bold and as thick with your wing as you want. Then, wrap up your liner by applying So Fierce!™ Vinyl Eyeliner in Force of Steel to your lower lash line.

  3. Magnify your lashes. We see bold lashes in your future with this look. Apply a few coats of our Volume + Length Magnified™ Mascara in Blackest Black to tie your whole eye look together with plush, volumized lashes.

  4. Pull a dark pout. Forget mood rings, it’s crystal clear that you’re destined to have a moody lip moment. Apply Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Midnight Mystery to your lips.  

  1. Create the cosmos. Using the ColorStay™ 16-Hour Eye Shadow in Seductive, begin to build your base for this galactic glam. Apply the second lightest, true-violet shade all over your eye up to the brow bone and around the outer corner. Then, bring it down along your lower lash line and all over your cheekbones. Now, add some depth to your universe with the second darkest, true-purple shade. Apply this shade in the crease of your eye and along the very top of your cheekbones, making sure to blend out any harsh lines.

  2. Add some contour. Using ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow in Peacock, apply the cream shadow underneath your cheekbones where you would normally apply a contour. Make sure to blend this shade out, we’re going for a more subtle wash of color with this shimmering turquoise shade. Then, add some further definition (plus a fun pop of pink) to your eyes and your cheeks using Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Softsilver Rose. Instead of applying the lipstick directly, use your ring finger to dab the color on.

  3. Glow up. Go back into the ColorStay™ 16-Hour Eye Shadow in Seductive, and use the lightest shade as a highlight all over your face. Using a good fluffy brush, like our Highlighter Brush, apply the shimmery light violet to the high points of your cheeks, the bridge of your nose, underneath your brow bones, and to the inner corner of your eyes.

  4. Give your lashes love. Apply a few coats of our Volume + Length Magnified™ Mascara in Blackest Black to tie your whole eye look together with long, volumized lashes.

  5. Shoot for the stars. To create your constellation, draw clusters of stars across your cheeks and nose with a fine tip brush. Use a white cream eye shadow, like the one in our Illuminance™ Crème Eye Shadow palette in Black Magic. Make sure to vary the sizes of your stars for an illusion of depth.

  6. Top it off with pink. Complete your look with a final touch of shimmery pink on your lips. Go back and grab Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Softsilver Rose. 

  1. Gleam in green. Using ColorStay™ 16-Hour Eye Shadow in Addictive, apply the lightest beige shade in your crease and blend out any harsh lines. Then, deepen the look with the darkest, chocolate-brown shade and buff it into your crease. For a regal finish to your eye makeup, apply ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow in Emerald all over your lid. Then, use that same shade to smoke out your bottom lash line. Finally, apply ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow in Creme Brulee to the inner corners of your eyes. This will be the start of your exaggerated cat-eye look, so apply the shade slightly past the inner tear duct to open up your eyes.

  2. Create a cat eye. Line the top of your lash line using ColorStay™ Sharp Line Liquid Eye Pen, gradually thickening the line toward the outer corner and extending it outward at an angle to create a wing. Then, move onto your lower lash line. Using the same liquid eye pen, begin the line past your inner corner, starting where you applied the white creme shadow. Continue to line the lower lash line and connect it with the wing.

  3. Lash, but not least. Apply a few coats of our Volume + Length Magnified™ Mascara in Blackest Black to add volume and length to your lashes. To complement your dramatic wing, fan out your lashes by pulling the wand upward and outward while applying the mascara.

  4. Finish like a pharaoh. Apply Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Blushing Mauve to your lips to complete your look and command the attention worthy of a ruler.
